Mission
Committed to excellence in the education of young women in a diverse community, Linden Hall provides a rigorous and multifaceted college-preparatory experience where each student is nurtured and inspired to reach her highest potential.
Programs or services
Founded in 1746, Linden Hall is the nation's oldest continuously operating independent boarding and day school for girls. Serving students in grades 6–12, the school provides a rigorous college-preparatory education that prepares young women for success in college and beyond.

Students benefit from small class sizes, individualized instruction, Advanced Placement (AP) and honors courses, STEM education, world languages, visual and performing arts, leadership opportunities, and comprehensive college counseling. Signature programs include Linden Hall's nationally recognized Equestrian Program, which recently celebrated its 100th anniversary, and an innovative Aviation Program that introduces students to careers in aviation and aerospace.

As both a boarding and day school, Linden Hall fosters a diverse, supportive community where students from around the world learn, live, and grow together. Beyond academics, students participate in athletics, clubs, community service, and wellness programs that build confidence, resilience, and teamwork. Need-based tuition assistance helps ensure that talented students from diverse backgrounds have access to the exceptional educational opportunities Linden Hall provides.
Target Audience
Linden Hall serves girls in grades 6–12 from Pennsylvania, across the United States, and around the world who are seeking a rigorous college-preparatory education in a supportive, student-centered environment. The school enrolls both day and boarding students and attracts families who value academic excellence, leadership development, global perspectives, and opportunities in specialized programs such as equestrian studies and aviation. Through need-based tuition assistance, Linden Hall also serves qualified students from a wide range of socioeconomic backgrounds, helping ensure that financial circumstances do not prevent talented young women from accessing a high-quality education.
