We Are Not Forgotten
Our mission is to provide a relaxing, low-stress environment, via local get-togethers and weekend getaways for Veterans. These events will be in a safe environment and with like-minded individuals. Furthermore, there will be the opportunity to connect with other Veterans for encouragement and camaraderie, in addition to solidifying future support and friendships, with the hopes of preventing Veteran suicide. Not all have seen combat, but all answered the call to serve, and pledged an oath to protect and defend. Now it’s our turn, Veteran to Veteran, providing an outlet to help decompress from that obligation.

- Programs or services
- Currently, weekend retreats for women veterans to decompress
- Detailed programs
- Our goal at We Are Not Forgotten is to let the local women veterans know that their service/nor they have not been forgotten about. Our goal is to bring back the camaraderie, often lost post-service, within the female veteran population. When people thank veterans or think about veterans, most often they view the men. However, many women have also served honorably as well, and deserve the same recognition for their service. Texas is a very veteran-friendly state, however, there are many organizations focused on male veterans, as well as combat and/or disabled veterans. There are all of the aforementioned groups of women veterans as well, but not as often recognized. Our goal is to fill in that gap for the women and provide them a time and place to decompress and build bonds with other female veterans in their area, which in turn provides additional moral support post-retreat, renewing friendships, or fostering new ones outside of the weekend retreats.
