Statement of Services, Programs & Community Impact
Organizational Purpose
Prescott Valley Performing Arts (PVPA) exists to strengthen the cultural, educational, and economic vitality of Prescott Valley and the surrounding region through accessible performing arts, arts education, community engagement, artist development, and workforce opportunities.
PVPA serves as a cultural resource for youth, students, families, artists, educators, community organizations, and residents throughout the region. Through performances, educational programs, community events, and professional development opportunities, PVPA creates meaningful pathways for individuals to experience the arts, develop creative and professional skills, participate in community life, and contribute to the local economy.
PVPA's programming is designed to demonstrate that the performing arts are not only a source of entertainment, but also an important component of education, workforce development, economic development, tourism, community identity, and quality of life. - Target Audience
- Prescott Valley Performing Arts (PVPA) serves a regional audience centered on youth and students throughout Prescott Valley, the greater Quad Cities area, Yavapai County, and surrounding Central Arizona communities. PVPA's primary focus is providing young people with meaningful opportunities to experience, participate in, and learn through the performing arts.
PVPA's youth and student audiences include elementary, middle, and high school students; college students; homeschool students; emerging artists; and young people interested in careers in performance, production, technology, arts administration, and the creative economy. Programs provide exposure to professional artists while developing skills in communication, creativity, leadership, teamwork, technical production, and problem solving.
PVPA also serves families, educators, emerging and professional artists, community organizations, businesses, and regional visitors. Educational partnerships with schools and youth-serving organizations will expand access through student performances, workshops, artist residencies, mentorships, internships, and career-development programs.
Geographically, PVPA's primary service area includes Prescott Valley, Prescott, Chino Valley, Dewey-Humboldt, Mayer, and surrounding Yavapai County communities, with expanded outreach to the Verde Valley, Sedona, and other Central and Northern Arizona communities. This regional approach allows PVPA to function as both a local community resource and a cultural destination.
PVPA will intentionally reach audiences who face barriers to arts participation, including economic, geographic, transportation, or limited-access barriers. Grant support will allow the organization to provide free or subsidized programs, scholarships, school partnerships, and community outreach. - Geographic Focus
