Half Fund
The purpose of the corporation is to raise funds for projects which raise awareness and provide education regarding cancer detection, cancer treatments, and the impact of cancer on individual lives through the medium of film and video.The inception of The Half Fund is two-fold, and to be set up in two stages. The first stage is creating a narrative story for mass distribution in theaters, home video, and television. This narrative will be created with an estimated expense of $500,000. A further $250,000 will be required for prints and advertising, to bring this narrative to the marketplace. Such expenses will include, travel, public relations, and the fees for obtaining rights to screen the narrative in a national theater chain, thus creating interest in the narrative for further distribution to a wider audience.This initial sum of $750,000 will be obtained through a massive fund raising effort across the country, on radio, television, in print, and in live events.
