Opportunity for Kansas and Missouri nonprofit organizations in eligible areas to participate in an awareness and fundraising campaign. The program is intended to promote local nonprofits by encouraging residents to learn about and support those organizations. Eligible nonprofits are located in and serve the communities of the Kansas City metropolitan area.
On the 9th and 29th of each month beginning March 2021, KMBC and KCWE will highlight a local nonprofit organization and encourage viewers to learn about and support that organization.
Community Day impact could include traffic to an organization's website and social media accounts, donations, volunteer commitments, etc.
