Grant Description
Grants of up to $15,000 to Missouri nonprofit organizations in eligible regions to address the needs of elderly Jewish residents. Funding is intended for proposals that address the well-being and mental health of older adults. Funding must benefit the Jewish elderly in the St. Louis community.

Women’s Auxiliary Foundation for Jewish Aged, a Supporting Foundation of the Jewish Federation of St. Louis, was established in 2014 through a generous commitment from the Women’s Auxiliary for the Jewish Aged.

Grants that address unmet needs in the area of mental health & well-being remain our highest priority for funding; however, proposals that address other unmet needs of Jewish older adults will also be considered.

The Foundation prefers:

  • Programs that can demonstrate significant impact.
  • Ongoing programs rather than one-time programs.
  • For congregations, programs that find ways to transcend the walls of the congregation (i.e., applications from congregations must articulate a clear strategy for reaching people outside the membership of the congregation).
  • Collaboration is encouraged across organizations.
