Grant of up to $1,000 to a Missouri nonprofit organization on behalf of a local woman in eligible locations. Funding is intended to assist a woman between the ages of 40-55 who is seeking to make significant life changes to improve her future. Priority will be given to a woman in poverty who has a mental or physical disability or who is non-white. The Jerry & Tac Caplan Midlife Initiative Fund will provide a grant to support a Springfield woman in midlife who is working to change the course of her life and take more control over what happens to her.
Applications must be made on behalf of an individual through a nonprofit organization; grant will be provided to the nonprofit organization to administer.
Candidate Requirements:
- Applicant in mid-life (between the ages of 40-55)
- Applicant must be planning to change the course of her life.
- Preference given to the economically disadvantaged, persons of color, or those with a physical or mental challenge.
