Grant Description
Grants to Missouri FFA chapters and 4-H clubs for projects to enhance rural communities throughout the state. Funding is intended for projects involving youth that benefit the wider agricultural community. Eligible projects include improvements to grounds, facilities, or buildings that are used by various groups or organizations in the applicant’s community.
The BOAC Program:
Provides excellent hands-on teaching, building upon the ethic of learning by doing.
Brings communities together to accomplish a common goal.
Prepares youth to work with community leaders.
Helps develop community leaders and citizens.
Plays a significant role in the future development of agricultural communities.
Improves the social and physical environment of rural cities, towns, and farm communities.
Selection Criteria:
Projects must benefit an agricultural community and/or promote community development.
Projects may include improvements to existing facilities, grounds, or buildings that are used by various groups or organizations in the applicant’s community.

Additional Eligibility Criteria
Only Missouri 4-H clubs and Chartered Missouri FFA chapters are eligible to participate. 4-H councils, county junior leader organizations, and Clover Kids are excluded.
Pre-Application Information
The Department will accept applications postmarked or received electronically by Dec. 1, 2022. Recipients awarded funding will be notified in early January.

Number of Grants
Twelve 4-H BOAC grants and 12 FFA BOAC grants are awarded annually, two per each of the six districts.
